What Parts of the Body Can Be Treated?

In the past, laser hair removal was limited to specific types of hair on specific parts of the body.  Today, while different lasers still have their limitations there is essentially a laser hair removal treatment for every case. Thick hair, thin hair, fair hair, tan skin, coarse areas or sensitive ones-laser hair removal can treat them all.

Of course the difficulty of each case and the technology used will determine the overall success of each treatment, but if you're committed to the task and ready to travel then you'll almost certainly be able to find a laser hair removal treatment that meets your needs.

It's no secret that many professionals seek laser hair removal treatment.  Both male and female athletes, celebrities, and beauty industry professionals consider these treatments necessary maintenance and the best possible option for removing unwanted hair.  No other hair removal procedure is as safe or effective making laser removal the most desirable treatment for facial hair or other visible body parts.

Because electrolysis regularly causes scarring or discoloration of the skin, and because over-the-counter solutions are temporary at best, laser hair removal remains the gold standard.

Some common areas that female patients have treated are: the face (specifically between the brows, above the lip, and along the hairline), the neck, the underarm area, the nipples (both on and around), the torso (specifically around the navel), arms, legs, inner thighs, the pubic area, the buttocks, and the tops of the feet.

Some common areas for male patients to receive treatment on are: the face (again between the brows and along the hairline), the neck, in and around the ears, the chest, the back, the hands and feet, and the buttocks.

These of course are just the more common treatments; as mentioned above laser treatments are available for virtually every part of the body.  It is important to note that dark hair on fair skin is the easiest to treat.  Very fine hair and fair skin or very dark hair and dark skin combinations are still problematic and usually require special treatments.  Likewise different lasers will be used for different cases and may require more passes or more sessions to reach satisfactory results.

Removal of a few hairs can usually be achieved with consistently permanent results in only a few sessions.  But removal of a larger patch of hair with persistent growth could take as many as 12 sessions with follow-up maintenance.

Always ensure that your preferred clinic has the appropriate lasers for your specific hair removal needs.  Confirm in advance the recommended length of sessions and overall duration of treatment; if you want optimal results, remember that less is not always more.
